Grunley Construction has Subcontracted Benchmark Building Enclosure, Inc. to provide the Glass and Glazing Scope of Work on the historic renovation to the Smithsonian Institute National Zoological Park Bird House Renewal.

The National Zoo in Washington, DC hosts 2 million visitors every year.  Benchmark Building Enclosure, Inc. is excited to be providing the Custom Structurally Glazed Main Entrance and Vestibule with large custom Glass Automatic Entrances to welcome all visitors.

Also included is a Sloped Glazing System that enables visitors to step from the main museum space into a glass enclosed structure right into the natural habitat of the birds.  There are many other glass walls and structures to be provided by Benchmark throughout this exciting project.

We look forward to showcasing this project as our work is completed.
